Kahneman's Peak-End Rule explains why remembered experience is not a simple average of every
moment.
The emotional peak can become a defining and memorable snapshot. The ending helps shape the
story people carry away – and their willingness to return! Duration may receive less weight than leaders
(and parents) expect, especially in clearly bounded experiences. A constructive close cannot erase
everything that came before, but it can strongly influence recall and the motivation to come back. Plan the
ending as deliberately as the opening and your care for the high point.
